Sorry pussy cats! My life is being taken over by trying to find accom in Ldn so I haven't had chance to blog... My mum treated me to a cinema trip today to see Wuthering Heights; she wanted to see it as it's one of her favourite novels, I wanted to see it purely because of Effy. Sadly neither of us really enjoyed the adaptation. It's a valiant attempt to capture the desperately somber mood Emily Bronte established but it was rather boring and overdone on screen, not to mention disturbing at times. A few people left the screening. Anyway, it was what I had been expecting and my mum maintains that I should still give the story a chance by reading the book instead. I'm not here to hate and I am a massive Kaya fan. Above are some of my favourite shots of her, I just wish she dressed more like Effy in real life...

I actually bought these boots in an emergency (the emergency being that I was on Oxford Street after a meeting, wearing killer block heels and kinda regretting it). Anyway they're SO snug and I needed some biker boots perf for winter. I've thrown away my military style pair, got bored of the shearling ones and always slip in an otk pair I have so yeah, definitely justified. Apologies for the phone pics but I got my hair in a high bun and it's def cause for celebration after nearly a year of growing. Can't wait for ze weekend!

Recent family duties saw me wear the first jumpsuit I've ever owned. A Topshop sale swipe that I won't be wearing again. I had to go braless which was so inappropriate for the occassion and even the size 6 was hanging off my lack of curveeee up there. Quite tipsy when these pics were taken, think you can tell.

These sexual boots arrived on my doorstop today. Secretly wishing they were dalmatian print but I do love them and can't wait to wear them out with some skanky frayed hotpants and a simple tee.

I'm not lucky enough to have any substantial Chanel in my wardrobe. I do have a Chanel dark red lipstick (right here) and a silk scarf that my local charity shop provided. For me, Chanel is classic whilst fierce, never over done, the infamous Karl, and these days Freja Beha! Whenever I think of Chanel I always think of bouclé, though I admit I only just found out the proper name for it. It's a type of yarn, which is usually three-ply and has one thread looser than the others giving a rough textured finish. I bought these monochrome bouclé shorts in Ldn and they really screamed Chanel at me... Wishful thinking aside, I'll be pairing them with a pussy-bow blouse - this season's must have. Chanel style or not, I can tell they're going to be so versatile and therefore stuck to me all winter.

Found this perfffff skirt in a little boutique in Sheff, so far it's had a trip to the Lyceum theatre to see the ballet and been to an interview for a fashion internship. I had major drama in the store because it came in this colour or blue. All the shop assistants told me red looked nicer which was obvs making me want the blue instead but I felt pressured to go with the red and I'm still undecided as to which I preferred but hey, snore off. I've had my lustful eye on this divine Cruella styleee coat since I spotted it in London, tried it on today even though it's actually been hot - I'm in LOVE. It's £90 so I need to find someone to purchase it for me for xmas or something... Haha.

I'm also a massive fan of these brushed leather ankle boots and the shoes on display were especially hairy (which I liked as it made them a bit diff) but when the sales assistant brought out the size 4's they just looked more smooth and velvety and boring. Don't think she really understood my desire for a bushier pair so I had to leave without them. A failed shopping trip tbh.

I literally cannot believe we're in mid Sept... where the hell did August go?
I wish I had a legit excuse for not blogging but the truth is I'm just not a v good multitasking woman! Plus, I had nothing to procrastinate over/about (can't decide which is grammatically correct) as I'm degree free. Got loads to update so it makes sense to start chronologically from where I left off. Got home from Newcastle (sob sob) and had a dirty night out in Leeds for a friend's 21st; clad my ass in these leather panel knicks. Justified my nakedness by calling them hotpants and wore them with a black angel sleeve top, stacked heels, too much eye makeup and loads of cheap jewellery. I'm just TOO classy, really outdid myself.
I can't believe how near fashion week is, at this rate I'm sleeping on the streets and going naked (obvs) but I will be covering at least a couple of days with Fashion Scout again this season. I'm free as a bird. Yesterday saw the end of exam season so it was time to celebrate with the girls - vodka compulsory. I finally purchased some leather shorts, which I adore because they're slightly crushed. It has taken me forever to find the perfect, purse friendly pair! The celebrations continue tomorrow as one of my sisters is visiting me for a scandalous night out and then I'm off to the beach for a winter coat shoot... I'm pretty sure going out three nights a week is unacceptable in third year, but somehow I've managed it. The snow has been forcing me to throw on a leather jacket over just about everything, because I don't want the fur coats getting ruined by drunken revellers. I'm going on a last minute trip to Manchester this weekend to see Arcade Fire - I cannot wait.

This week/end saw one of my friends enter Club 21... a birthday milestone I can only dread this summer! On Monday we pretended to be sophisticated and went for a gorgeous Italian feast, followed by too much birthday cake. Friday and Saturday were slightly less classy.

Today it has snowed in Newcastle and my fifteen minute walk to Uni before 9am this morning was an absolute torture - not only because my new shearling boots have no grip whatsoever, but also because my black fur coat looks a lot warmer than it feels. It doesn't help that I have no hair to keep my ears warm!

Anyway, I finally purchased a coloured dress to wane my black on black addiction. I guess I cheated a bit because it does have dark blue sections. The long sleeves took this dress to another level, in my opinion, though they hardly kept me warm. The striking, graphic print got me reminiscing about my Fashion Week adventure with the likes of Romina Karamanea, Hermione de Paula and BodyAmr all experimenting with intricate pattern for S/S11. Now I just need some sunshine instead of grey.

London Fashion Week is over for another season, and there's no rest for the wicked. I got home today to celebrate my sister's birthday, then I'll be travelling back to Newcastle and settling into a new home. Then it's Manchester for a day trip and back again for freshers' week. Who needs sleep?

I want to do a more in-depth post on my fashion week adventure when I have the energy. I desperately want to go to London Fashion Week.
If anyone fancies taking me, do let me know! I've gone slightly fashion crazy this week (not that I'm not every week?!) because I've been poring over this season's shows and overall trends for articles that I'll be writing for my University paper. It's less than a month until Freshers Week so I'm overly excited about reunions, settling into a new home and dancing the nights away, of course. Trying to forget that it is actually my third and final Freshers, but why dampen the mood? I'm going on a day trip to Manchester soon, for shopping and to see MGMT at the Apollo. Double excitement, both because I love them as a band but also because I cannot wait to see what Andrew, my favourite hippie, will be wearing! Also, I dyed my hair black last night. It was a mistake, but I actually like it. Anyway, the pictures are from a shopping trip in Lincoln not so long ago. I wore my new favourite item, which is maxi length and in the perfect shade of camel beige. I raided the charity shops and found a perfect over-sized, cropped-length jumper - in leopard print no less! I hope my regular followers have noticed how grammatically correct this post is for once: I'm usually so anti capital letters (but I thought I'd make the effort)... Love forever.

this is just an announcement to say i have a new favourite model. like a lot of you (i'm guessing), i have a preoccupation with the model, not just the clothes. it started off with a twiggy/jean shrimpton appreciation & then of course my kate moss obsession just grew & grew. helped along with my subscription to vogue, elle & grazia, i became captivated with the 'alien' faces of jessica stam, gemma ward, sasha pivovarova, natasha poly & snejana onopka. after that, for the past year at least, it's all been about my addiction: abbey lee, abbey lee, abbey lee. who's still the love of my life of course!
but after seeing the picture below in this month's vogue, i'm pretty much in LOVE. anna selezneva (left) has been around for quite a while & i'm sure i've seen her many times before but this picture is without a doubt stunning. i love the eyeliner & her strong nose. sounds weird, but her face is so different.

definitely enough model worship for one day!

another rather long break from the blogosphere (i do apologise). i'm getting cabin fever being cooped up in the library, especially when the sunshine is out! i finish on the 1st of june & i'm looking forward to becoming a blog addict once more... free as a bird. & i will return all your sexy comments then, of course.
i'm in the process of organising my summer & considering working in ibiza for a while... so i guess i should be saving. but i couldn't resist treating myself to a little dress for friday night antics, as my wardrobe was lacking in the LBD department. well actually that's a lie, but i wanted it anyway.
to rape the funds a little bit more, i fell head over heels for these clogs! quite literally as they are impossible to walk in. i had promised myself not to buy any more shoes this season, after my wedge overload. however, the clogs just had to be mine!! thankyou skanky local shop.

had a beautiful weekend with the family. ate far too much, but then again i usually do when i'm having a good time. the sun was shining which called for a bright, summery outfit but unfort it wasn't actually that warm... i had literally forgotten about these SEX harem leggings; i must have had them for about three years. definitely time to dig them out now.

hello, hope we're all fine & dandy ?
just back from a cinema trip, i swear we're addicts. went to see the new scorsese film, total head fuck... excuse my french. uni has finished for the easter break so it's back home to the middle of nowhere & very limited internet access for moi - might have to save the blogging til i'm back in three weeks time. don't miss me too much ?

blogging (and my facebook addiction) have taken a back seat as i've been settling in to a new semester at uni, catching up with my ladies & attempting to read the longest novel ever written... hope this post was worth the wait, though i highly doubt you missed me too much! this was an outfit i wore on a recent night out, which is totally not me & i was pretty unsure about... but it's always good to step out of one's comfort zone yes? tailored trousers instead of skank length dresses! urban outfitters love.
on another note, i hated avatar, am i really the only one? & finally got round to watching dorian gray on dvd. love him & his moral corruptness. i'm the modern day dorian please.

a sexy night out with some beautiful friends has left me on a high all day long, despite the dragging hangover... the chase & status remix (lyrics above) of heartbeat was definitely the night's soundtrack. we were dancing like nobody was watching until our killer heels got the better of us. outfit wise, an absolute bargain primark dress (perhaps dress is too generous a word) & a hair cut served me well, what do you think? also, currently planning valentine's in london, ridiculously excited... thirdly, i apologise for how poorly written this is, need more sleep... thanks for all your sweet comments & i hope you'll keep reading. peace.

what are yours? just to make me feel extra useless.

my boyfriend saw an article that said posh's outfit (leather trousers & fur shrug) was the worst thing ever seen. sorry fashion police, i live in such attire. i don't care that i can barely fit into size 6 after christmas, or that the coat is four sizes too big for me - i like the huge shoulders. as for the earrings, edie can't go wrong in my opinion. on another note, the novelty of snow quickly fades... so who wants to take me on holiday?

it's everywhere at the moment, perfect for winter, & incredibly versatile.
